Sherlock Gnomes: Trailer

It never ceases to amaze me the ideas that these guys come up with. I thought Humour with Holmes was interesting (awkwardly interesting) and here we have an animated version on the verge of release.

Another investigation featuring "Sherlock Gnomes" is on it's way!

The voice cast is superb with Johnny Depp voicing the detective and the likes of Emily Blunt and James McAvoy and Michael Caine for company.

This one will be fun for sure ...

Humour & Holmes?

The question is a relevant one. 

 

No one should associate Holmes with humor. Yeah, he occasionally cracks some dark one liners but very few of those are worth remembering. So humor and Holmes are two opposites in theory.

That's when Etan Cohen, the writer behind funny flicks such as Madagascar 2, Men In Black 3 and the cult comedy Tropic Thunder is all set to make a comedy about Sherlock Holmes and Watson.

The movie is titled Holmes & Watson (rhyming with Dumb & the Dumber, who knows?) and is set to release by the end of this year, 2018.

As a serious Holmes follower, this is kind of bad news but then again we have had all sorts of Holmes on screen recently - a Young one, an Old one, American one with a lady Watson (duh), one who fights...etc.

So why not a funny one? 

 

No high expectations for this movie but I might watch it just to see their take on Holmes.
